The bee Revolution has begun.

Sometime ago, a group of people became aware that the earth was in trouble. It had been for some time. With wars raging on her surface, catastrophic oil spills, and the wide-spread adoption of monoculture farming, the earth's vital signs were weakening at an alarming rate. Species that had been thriving were quickly destabilizing, very notably the honeybee.

The honeybee is unlike any other creature known. Extremely hard working, they are the unsung hero of the earth. They spread the flower of life via pollination, nearly single-handedly completing the reproductive cycle of an enormous amount of vegetation on earth. The honeybee was, and remains in real danger.

Without a voice to fight, the lady honeybees stood little chance without a great alliance and people to help them. So a special group of lucky people decided to raise a bee army for a bee revolution, who's time was long overdue. This group would soon become Hive Builders.

Hive Builders began searching for the perfect hive design to raise their army, of the healthiest, happiest bees on the planet. Through their research and practice, the builders found other factions throughout the world already working toward the very same goal of aiding the honeybee.

These factions were known as bee guardians and they were all using Top Bar Hives. With its elongated log-shaped design, predator protected entrances, and a holistic approach to beekeeping, the top bar hive became the obvious choice for raising the bee resistance army.

The builders got to work, handcrafting hives from bee-safe materials, and at first raising a modest amount of hives. While commercial beekeepers posted losses year after year, the Hive Builders were breeding super bees, which were multiplying faster than hives could be built.

And rather than rob these beautiful ladies of their precious resources, the builders let the bees keep the fruits of their labor. And still the builders were benefiting more than they could dream. Their gardens were producing three times or more than they used to. The almond and fruit trees were electrified by the constant buzzing on their flowery tips. Life was being restored in a small but significant way. All of this was good news, but the fight was far from being over. And the builders knew that this revolt needed to go full-scale.

Hive Builders set out with a goal: To get as many people involved in bee guardianship as possible, to make it as easy as possible to become a bee guardian, and to restore the worldwide honeybee population to its fullest potential; thereby helping heal our wounded mother earth.
